Who is Kiara?

Kiara is Reilly's twin sister who is NeuroTypical (NT). She is an independent funny girl who loves to play with her brother and get into mischief. She is also Reilly's voice for his objective world.

Who is our Animator?

Rob Silva was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA before deciding to devote his life to the art of cartoons and video games.

After graduating at the top of his class from the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles' Game Art Program, Rob began working at Activision. While  to help create such video games as Call of Duty 3, Guitar Hero 2, and Tony Hawk's Project 8 before taking up a Level Design position for Rise of the Argonauts at Liquid Entertainment. Rob became a Course Director at the Los Angeles Film School's Animation & VFX program in 2009. He helps students develop their skills in illustrative storytelling & game art design while freelancing for Sony Pictures, 51 Minds Entertainment, and many others. He now resides in Venice Beach, CA with his wife MacKenzie and their dirty pup named Chewie.

Who is our Neurodiversity Consultant?

 

Ronnie is currently working on her PhD in Geography, Communication, and Disability Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. Ronnie’s research looks at how organizations, institutions and the public talk about and represent developmental and intellectual disabilities in news stories, television and movies, fundraising projects and social media and online awareness campaigns. Ronnie facilitates undergraduate courses and class workshops on cultural representation, digital storytelling, global development and undergraduate research.

 

As a social activist, Ronnie works with disability rights organizations and activist movements in their ongoing fight for social justice, equality and dignified and equal representation. Ronnie lives in the Seattle area with her husband and teenage son, two very large dogs and two very regular sized cats. Ronnie is a history and sci-fi fantasy buff and she also enjoys cultivating pollinator environments in her backyard and is an amateur bee photographer.

Who is the Creator?

 

Sinead Clancy is an Irish native, living in Los Angeles. She is a mother to 13-year-old boy/girl twins Roan and Katie. Her son Roan, was diagnosed with autism at 22 months.

Her years of advocacy for her son showed her the vacuum of support for awareness and acceptance of children with autism and led her to create Reilly's life. 

She is a designer and a decorator in the television industry with over 20 years of experience.

 

Who is the writer?

 

Rita Zobayan is an educator with 15 years experience in the field. She has worked with students with mild-moderate learning disabilities, ADHD, high-functioning Autism/Asperger’s, and English language learners.

 

In addition to education, Ms. Zobayan has a background in writing and is currently a children’s book writer. She is an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, as well as the Children’s Literature Council of Southern California.

Who is our educational television consultant?

 

Professor Daniel Anderson studies children and television including children's interactions during TV viewing and the impact on cognitive development and education. 

 

His current research concerns television and very young children, brain activation during media use, and television viewing and children's diet. 

 

He actively advises television producers on the creation of curriculum-based shows for children.  He has worked on Sesame Street, Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer, and Bear in the Big Blue House, among others.

Who is Reilly?

Reilly is a 6 year old non verbal boy on the autistic spectrum. He carries a toy giraffe, Gerry, who helps him communicate with the world. He lives a very full life with his sister and Mom.

 

Who is Gerry?

Gerry is Reilly's voice to the audience. He is Reilly's lovie. He is an active participant in Reilly's superhero life and is the voice for Reilly's subjective world
